It's Saturday- What's New!
Good morning Aime and all
I was up at 1 AM but stayed in bed watching TV. Fell back to sleep around 4ish, thank goodness. I have a play date with Matthew and Melanie so more sleep was a necessity.
My waitressing gig was fun. Everybody knew I was just there to help the owner and made the night so easy. The tips were outrageously generous too. I forgot that waitressing brings in tips. One of the regulars decided I need a bus boy to help clear the tables. He put his 9 year old son to work. He was so proud to have a job for the evening. It is sure not a job I will ever want on a permanent basis, but a good diversion for ONE night.
Let the day begin. I have the usual chores but nothing exciting planned.
Kisses
Annette
morning all ! it is morning! i'm achy- it's the weather!!!
this morning i am off to babysit lil alaina while big brother aidan and his mommy go to a "Thomas the train" do at toys r us! i'll snuggle with her anyday!! she's now 5 months old so we won't be doin any cooking-tho son did call and ask me to make my noodle onion pie for lunch while i'm there! it is flattering to be asked to make certain things for the kids!!
so i am up -roxie has been downstairs-wow- what a change in the weather! we got the thunder storm last nite-sky was yellow-i don't care for that! then it has now cooled waaaaay down- they are saying rain/snow for tomorrow-ugh!
well- yesterday we made a purchase--michael has been looking at the mantis tiller- actually sent for the literature- and it came wednesday-in thursdays' paper was an ad for one for sale in our town- we drove over and gave the guy $25 to hold it--he was selling it for half price- couldn't pass it up!!! so i will be able to do my flower beds this year!!yeaaaa!!! we have such ucky soil here....
so then when we came home; michael loaded up the aluminum cans and plastic bags that we have been saving for a friend- and drove them to their house so i could start cleaning the garage--i made a big dent!! did NOT find my papers that i am desperately needing but made a dent!!! started sneezing and knew it was time to come in! once those allergies get started i'll be miserable so i think i did minimal damage there!
monday nite will be the cemetery cleanup and potluck dinner for the Lions Club--i have to think of what to take--all i know is that there will be about 15-20 ppl-- i might just defrost some of michael's chili from the freezer!!!
my name was in yesterday's paper- and spelled right!!! i am one of two (right now) contenders to fill a seat on the village council left vacant when a wonderful man died in march--the other contender is a former member of council who actually said he would pull out so i could be in (new blood theory!) --it will be up to the council to decide by a week from monday!
don't know much else yet this morning!
hope everyone is safe- sending hugs to all and prayers to those who need them!

Good morning all...
I was up at 5am, and saw the wife off to work... she's been off work for a couple of weeks now recouperating from the shoulder surgery...
Yesterday I started feeling like I was coming down with the flu or a cold or allergies or ???... sore throat, achy... bleeech... still feel kinda crappy this morning.. clogged up sinuses, even my ears are clogged up feeling! ... so my plans are to have no plans... just try and get better and rest...
Hi all,
Went and got groceries after work last night so I wouldn't have to go today and could just have a jammies weekend.
The house really needs cleaning but I am going to ignore it I think.
We are suppose to be having high 60s maybe even low 70s, so I'm looking forward to that!
I was up ALL night using the the ladies room, didn't think I drank THAT much fluids! Geeze! So not terribly restful last night.
Take Care, and have a wonderful Saturday!
Cheryl

Good morning all! Yep last week at this time we were getting ready for a yummy breakfast and a day of fun.
Today I tried to have no plans but my friend at the horse rescue called and there is a horse that hasn't been fed in over a month and her owner told the Humane agent that she doesn't plan on feeding it she doesn't want it anymore. So Greg and I are to take the trailer and go try to load it (fun fun) I guess it hasn't been handled and is not broke. But since it's starved to death it's not moving good so with finger crossed and a few prayers we will attempt it. Greg had a little out patient surgery yesterday so guess who will get to do most of the work!
We were already scheduled to deliver a horse tomorrow for someone that is adopting one from the rescue so it will be a whole weekend of horses again!! That's my life horses or dogs one or the other rules my life.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!
Good Morning Aime and everyone........
Don't we just love those grandchildren!! Nic made dinner for us last night. He baked some Talapia and cooked fresh carrots and made a side pasta di**** was delicious!!! He is a very good chef!!
Jamie, Nic and Grace will try to go home today. We got a little more snow but not too much. It is supposed to warm up today so I am sure the roads will be good. I sure am going to miss them. Other then chemo the week was just great!!!
I am supposed to go to a wild game feed today with friends. They serve every kind of game you can think of cooked in all different ways. It is delicious but I am sure I will just be nibbling a little this time. You know how it is I just can't eat much....pouch fills up fast. I mostly go for the socialization. There are always tons of people and so many that I haven't seen in a long time. This is a yearly event. It will be fun!! A friend of mine is going to be there giving massages to people....guess who is on the top of the list!!
Tomorrow I am off to my daughter Carrie's in St. Paul. We are having a Birthday Party. Both Kyleigh and Amanda had birthdays this week. Kyleigh is now 16 and Amanda is 14.....how grown up they are becoming!! Nic will be 15 on the 23rd of this month.....lots of April birthdays!!
Hope you are feeling better Marc.....UGH..flu!!!
Everyone have a good Saturday. Prayers and love to all.
Hugs, connie d
Good Morning All
Well, the weekend from Heaven was followed by the week from Hell! I went back to work Monday, 8-4, then worked 16 hours (till midnight) on Tuesday, then 4am-12 noon Thurs and Fri. Then ushered at the college last night (planned before my idiot boss changed my regular 8-4 schedule), and crashed last night. I only average about 3 hours of sleep a night when I do the 4-noon thing, so I "hit the wall" about 9 pm. Copper work me at 4:30 this morning, purring and snuggling. She then spent 3 hours in the basement (It's nice and clean and dry, and has litter boxes...) because she wouldn't quit loving me. I gave up at 7:30 and got out of bed.
Treated myself this morning with a pot of the Kona coffee I splurged on in Pittsburgh (yum-oh!), and am now about ready to go back to bed. After all, I've been up for almost 2 hours! The weird work schedule knocks me out. Next week is back to normal schedule, after another 4-noon day on Monday.
Retirement is looking pretty good. But then, that's nothing new...
I got 2 canvass letters for local promotions (NOT in Corrections) on Thursday. There are 2 Nurse Administrator positions coming up locally where I used to work before the big layoff and my switch to Corrections. I took a promotional exam over a year ago, and am pretty high on the reachable list, although I don't know if it's high enough to get one of the jobs. Or if people already working there are ahead of me on the list. It's all about numbers for New York State. I responded "yes" to both and hope they call me for an interview soon. They're both pretty close to home, a nice raise, and working with a much different population. I used to love working there, and if it's still as nice as I remember, I may even consider delaying my retirement for a few more years. Or not...
Nothing planned for the weekend except yard work or painting. Not going out. I'd probably fall asleep on my feet. I'm on day 3 of the Pouch Test. Haven't lost any weight, but the carb cravings are pretty much gone. That's a REALLY good thing! I'm getting sick of cream soups, though. Today I get FISH!!! Yummy!!! I love fish!
Hope everyone has a good weekend. I already miss the 'burgh! And the sistahs!

It's raining here in southwest Michigan and supposed to get some snow tonite and tomorrow.....geez, what happened to Spring??
Got my house cleaned yesterday afternoon....wow, a Saturday to do what I want. I took a quick trip out to Wal Mart for a few items and now have the washer and dryer going. Am working on a counted cross stitch project that has to be done by May 8th.....it's supposed to be a "jiffy" project, but it's taking longer than I thought.
This weekend is The Masters Golf Tournament, and being a big fan, I will be watching as much as possible. I don't play, but I love watching and Tiger Wood and Phil Mickelson are my favs.
Hear the U.P. and Wisc/Minn are getting tons of snow....so stay safe if you're in that area.
Have a blessed weekend.
